A masala mojito is a cocktail that combines the flavors of traditional Indian spices with the refreshing taste of a mojito. It is made with white rum, lime juice, mint, sugar, and spices.

The spices give the cocktail a slightly spicy and savory, refreshing and satisfying taste. Masala mojitos are a great way to enjoy the Indian flavors in a cocktail. Want more? Here is my collection of Indian cocktails.

    Instructions

    • In a glass, muddle together the lime juice, sugar, mint leaves, chaat masala, and cumin powder until the sugar dissolves.
    • Add white rum and a handful of ice cubes to the glass.
    • Top up with soda water and stir gently.
    • Garnish with mint leaves and a lime wedge.

    Notes

When muddling the mint leaves and spices, be gentle. You want to release the flavors without turning the mint bitter.
Taste the mixture before adding soda water to ensure the sweetness is to your liking. Adjust with additional simple syrup or lime juice as needed.
