Homemade mango juice
Refreshing homemade mango juice on hot summer days is a delightful treat for mango lovers. Make them with fresh mangoes when they are in the season, or use frozen mangoes. This is one of the easiest mango drinks you will make and is perfect for this mango jalapeno margarita.
The rim
Chili salt: Mix chili powder and kosher salt in a shallow dish. Moisten the rim of the glass with a lime wedge, then gently roll it into the chili salt mixture.
Coconut sugar and chili: Mix coconut sugar (or regular sugar) with a dash of chili powder to create a sweet and spicy rim that pairs wonderfully with the tropical flavors of the mango in this chili mango margarita.
Variations of mango margarita
Mango-habanero margarita: Replace the jalapeño with habanero peppers for an even spicier kick. Habanero peppers are hotter than jalapeño peppers, so this variation will be spicier.
Cilantro: Muddle fresh cilantro leaves along with jalapeno to infuse the mango margarita with a refreshing herbal note. The combination of cilantro and mango creates a vibrant and zesty flavor profile.
Mango-pineapple margarita: To make this tropical variation, use a mix of pineapple juice and mango juice or muddle a few pieces of fresh pineapple into the mix.
Food pairing
Mexican Cuisine: Tacos (such as fish tacos or shrimp tacos), enchiladas, quesadillas, guacamole, and salsa are all excellent choices.
Seafood: The sweet and spicy flavors of the margarita go well with various seafood dishes. Try pairing it with grilled shrimp, ceviche, or seafood fajitas.
Lamb rogan josh: Lamb rogan josh is a hearty and flavorful dish that is perfect for pairing with this chili mango margarita.
