Golden Turmeric Milk / Haldi Doodh

- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper crushed
- 1 tablespoon honey or as per taste
Add milk in a saucepan and bring to boil
Add the turmeric powder and pepper to the milk. Mix well
Simmer for 1-2 minutes
Turn off the heat and pass the milk through the sieve
Add honey and mix well
Serve warm
To make vegan golden milk, you may replace it with almond milk or any dairy-free milk. However, take care not to boil the almond milk like regular milk. Replace honey with jaggery or raw sugar.
Traditionally, turmeric root is used to make golden milk latte. However, I am using turmeric powder. If you use turmeric roots, let them steep in the milk for at least 5 minutes.
