Mix together yogurt, ginger, garlic, turmeric, salt, and chili powder

Add chicken legs / drumsticks

Mix well. Marinate for 30 minutes

Set the Instant Pot to saute mode and add ghee or cooking oil of your choice. Add the whole spices - bay leaf, green cardamom, clove, black cardamom, and cinnamon

Add onions

Fry until the onion is golden

Add the marinated chicken pieces and mix well

 Cover and saute for 5 minutes

Add soaked basmati rice along with garam masala, salt and 1 cup water. Mix well

Close the lid of the Instant Pot. Pressure cook for 5 minutes

Do a quick release of the pressure. Open the lid

Garnish with coriander leaves

Serve hot with raita
